Dr. Arul George Scaria has been appointed as an Assistant Professor of Law at the National Law University Delhi, India. He will be working in the areas of intellectual property and competition law in his new position.
Dr. Scaria belongs to the first batch (2008-11) of the IMPRS-CI doctoral program. His doctoral thesis titled Copyright and Cultural Consonance: Insights from an Empirical Legal Study on Piracy in the Indian Film Industry was supervised by Prof. Dr. Josef Drexl. He was awarded doctoral degree with summa cum laude by the Faculty of Law at the Ludwig Maximilians Universität, Munich. He did his post-doctoral research at the Catholic University of Louvain (UCL) in Belgium from January 2012 to February 2014.
